Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONATO JACOBUCCI August 3, 1916 - October 10, 2011 Donato Jacobucci passed, with family by his side, on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Luther Special Care Home. He was predeceased by his parents August and Maria; his loving wife Amalia of 63 years; granddaughter Linda; sister Julia Salvatore; brother Candido. Survived by sons, Michele (Margaret), Candido (Roslyn), Mario (Susan), Vic (Colleen); daughter Maria (Peter Schroetder); 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was born in Trevi, Italy then immigrated to Canada in 1948. The family followed in 1952, mother and four children in tow. From the time of arrival until retirement he was involved in the family business, tile manufacture and construction at Trevi Tile Ltd. In the 1960s he created one of his greatest mosaic murals, Jesus Christ at St. Paul's College at the University of Manitoba, which is still standing today. He spent the majority of his years in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan 16 years ago to be close to family. He was always very family oriented, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed. Special thanks to the caregivers at Luther Towers and Dr. Jamil. In lieu of flowers, donations to Luther Special Care Home, 1212 Osler St., Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7N 0T9. Prayers will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Luther Special Care Home. Service will be held Friday, October 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Luther Special Care Home.
