Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE TETRAULT WENDEN Peacefully, on a glorious fall morning, October 11, 2011, Alice Tétrault Wenden went home to the loving arms of Jesus at the young age of 101. She was born in St. Malo, MB on October 2, 1910. She moved with her parents and family to La Broquerie in 1920 and married Gérard Wenden on December 8, 1938. She was predeceased by her husband Gérard in 1979, her son, Hubert in 2002 and 12 siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her nine children: Dolores (Charles), daughter-in-law Christine, Claudette (Denis), Bernard (Marguerite), Louis (Mila), Huguette (Ron), Marie-Reine (Gary), Myriam, Michelle, Diane (Henri); sister Gertrude, sisters-in-law, Madeleine and Imelda, 42 grandchildren, 104 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Maman was a living example of what true faith in Jesus is. We will miss our Maman's love, strong-willed endurance, patience and wittiness. Not only was our wonderful Maman loving, she was a very creative artist and pianist. At the many family kitchen parties hosted throughout her life, Mémère was not one to back down from a good competitive game of 500 or Scrabble, outlasting most of the partygoers into the wee hours of the morning. Winning was not that important, but spending good quality family time together was. Even at her l00th birthday party, she was entertaining us with her wonderful piano playing. Merci Maman et Mémère chérie pour toutes vos prières, messes, bontés et amour. You are now our special angel. We love you and will miss you so much. Je t'aime gros comme le ciel. Special thanks to the staff at Villa Youville, especially to Soeur Marguerite Forest and Soeur Irene Rioux. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011, followed by a celebration of Maman's life on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, La Broquerie, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Pro-Life Organization: Life's Vision, 5-130 Marion Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 0T4.
