KENNETH GEORGE MACLEOD After a courageous battle, with family at his side, we sadly announce the passing of Ken on October 13, 2011 at the age of 79. After years working in the banking industry, Dad spent the last 30 years at Manitoba Hydro, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed music, flying his Cessna and winters in British Columbia. He is survived by his beloved partner Leslie, his children Ken MacLeod (Debbie), Dawn Falkowski (Brian), Jay MacLeod (Eileen), Thea Cadorath (Rick), their mother Jean, three granddaughters Sandra, Krystin and Jackie, and great-grandson Aiden; Leslie's children, Guy Anderson (Silke), Janet Rody (Barrie), grandchildren Sharon, Michelle, Erin, Elsa and Sean; his brother John, sister Nan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John and Ida and his sister Peggy. Our special thanks to the staff of Triage, CPRU and 6th floor medicine at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and kindness. Private inurnment will be followed by a reception for family and friends at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery) at 2:30 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2011. Neil Bardal Funeral Centre in care of arrangements, 949-2200. If friends so desire, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Manitoba Prostate Division or a charity of your choice.
