RENETTA EIDSE 1922 - 2011 Peacefully, on October 10, 2011, at St. Boniface Hospital, Renetta Eidse completed her long journey. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anna, her sister Erna, and brother-in-law, Gladwin. She will be remembered lovingly by her sister Jean, nieces Beverly and Barbara (Conrad), and nephew Brian (Wavenie), and many great-nieces and nephews. Carmen (Adrian) and Angela, in particular, will miss her greatly. Renetta grew up near Morris, on the farm, going to school, having fun with her sisters and Buster the dog, and developing a great love of sewing. She, with mom and sisters, moved to Steinbach after her dad died, and later moved to Winnipeg where she worked as a stenographer. Renetta delighted in cooking - trying new recipes for family and friends. And of course, she liked to sew - dresses, wall hangings, doll clothes and crafts of all kinds, the more challenging, the better. In later years, even as she struggled with debilitating bouts of pain, and difficulty walking, Renetta continued to bring joy to others. We marveled at her determination, at her cheesecakes, and at the pails of cookies she'd produce. But it was her smiles of gratitude that made every visit worthwhile. A very special thank you to the staff of Thorvaldson Care Centre, and to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, Ward 6A South, for your care and kindness to Renetta. Funeral service will be Monday, October 17, 11:00 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service.
