HECTOR ALEXANDER CAMERON It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father on October 12, Wednesday at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 83 with his family by his side. Dad's memory will be forever cherished by his children Vicki, Gordon (Barb), Marilyn, Sandra and Scott (Adine): ten grandchildren (Sarah, Chris, Heather, Neil, Tara, Daniel, Alicia, Parker, Emma and Reid: great-grandchildren (Audrey, Cameron and Lucy). He also leaves behind sister, Mae Lupal and brother, Charles Cameron. Hector was predeceased by his parents, David and Florence Cameron, brothers Arthur and Ken as well as sisters Helen, Doris, Thelma and Lorraine. Dad was born and raised on a farm in Birtle, Manitoba on October 6, 1928. He graduated grade nine from Ekford School and proudly completed his grade 12 through correspondence courses. His passions were gardening and photography. Hector worked in Baker Lake as a surveyor, Macmillan Bloedal Logging Company in British Columbia, The Nutty Club, CNR and retired from Canada Post in 1988 after 21 years of service. Family meant everything to Dad and we hold wonderful memories of his gentleness, kindness and giving nature. Hector's faith in God and his church family has always been an extremely important aspect in his life. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Crosspoint Community Church, 554 Marsden Street. Viewing will be held an hour prior to service. Special thanks to the caring staff at Concordia Hospital. Dad truly was a blessed gift from God! For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. • I am sad to hear Uncle Hector passed away....over a year ago and I'm just hearing the news now. Sorry for your loss, my dear cousins that I haven't seen in so long! My thoughts are with you and I hope to get out to Manitoba and get re-acquainted with you! Sincerely, Connie Daye - Posted by: Connie Daye (Niece) on: Jan 15, 2013
