Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUSSELL ERNEST KUNZELMAN 1927 - 2011 Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on October 12, 2011 Russell Ernest Kunzelman passed away at the age of 84. Left to cherish his memories, his wife Rhoda, of 60 years, his children Donnie (Dianne), Keith (Diane), Sharon (Darcey), Clayton (Wendy) and Ryan, numerous grandchildren, their spouses and families. He is also survived by his sister Freida Jorheim, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and his aunt Lily Kunzelman. Russell was predeceased by his father John in 1939, his mother Flossie in 1997, and his son Lyall in 2008. He was also predeceased by his brothers Donald, John (Buddy) and Arthur, his sisters Florence Meyers and Sylvia McMahon, also brothers and sisters-in-law. Russell was born in his parents' house on January 26, 1927. After his father passed away, he started farming alongside his grandparents, mother and siblings. He took on many responsibilities on the family farm. In 1948, he met his bride to be Rhoda and they married on September 8, 1951. Together they settled on his grandfather's farm where they raised their family. He continued his passion for farming throughout his life. He enjoyed old time dancing, hunting, making hay, cutting wood and working with the threshing gangs. He was friend and neighbour to all and always willing to give a helping hand. A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Teulon. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Inwood Memorial Hall. Interment to follow at Inwood Cemetery. A special thanks to Dr. Pinniger and staff of Stonewall Hospital, Home Care staff and Palliative Care for all their kindness and compassion. Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Skogan, Roy Fox, Wilfred Maskow, Larry Torske, Gordon Duval, Bill McKague and Damian Nichols. If so desired, friends can make donations to Inwood Cemetery, Box 84, Inwood, MB R0C 1P0 God saw you getting tired and when a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you and whispered, Come with Me . And when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain, we could not wish you back to suffer that again.
