ANTAL BARICZ (TONI) June 7, 1928 (Gyergyoalfalu, Transylvania, Romania) to October 11, 2011 (Winnipeg, Manitoba) At the proud age of 83, Toni passed away peacefully in St. Boniface Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit with family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife Julia (married 56 years) and is lovingly remembered by daughters Bobbi (Geoff), Clara (John), Eva (Julius), grandsons Kyle, Aedan, and Kieran, and numerous relatives throughout Romania, Hungary and other parts of Europe. The family wishes to extend special thanks to staff of St. Boniface Hospital's Pacemaker and Congestive Heart Failure Clinics, and the Emergency Department, and both the Cardiac Care Unit and Cardiac Ward of the hospital. A celebration of Toni's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19 at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R2J 9Z9; the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite #200, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6 or to a charity of your choice. My thoughts and prayers are with the Baricz Ives family. I was enrolled in Ms. Baricz's Senior 4 English course just after the Department Head retired.
