KENNETH (KEN) MILLS January 11, 1929 - October 9, 2011 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ken Mills at Concordia Hospital. After many years of health issues, but always bouncing back in the past, Ken passed away on October 9, 2011. Ken was predeceased by his parents Ed and Anne Mills, and stepson Randy Rielly of Kamloops, BC in April, 2011. Ken is survived by his wife of 45 years, Fran, and stepson Bob (Kathy) Rielly of Tyndall, MB. Ken was born in Stony Mountain, MB, grew up and joined the R.C.M.P., and after 10 years became a Federal Government employee, retiring in December, 1981. With his retirement Ken and Fran moved back to Manitoba from British Columbia in 1982, then enjoyed their winters in Mesa, AZ and summers in Grand Marais, MB. In 1997 they made East Kildonan their permanent home. Over the years Ken's friends enjoyed his hours of music. He mastered the piano, Hammond, and accordion, playing by ear, entertaining friends and relatives. Sincere thanks to Dr. Kevin Coates for many years of caring, River East Personal Care and Concordia N1N. At Ken's request cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
