STANLEY GODOSKI It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stanley Godoski, on October 11, 2011, at the age of 85 years, at his home. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Thomas Godowski. Also, brothers, Harry Stelmack (Marie Turenne), Nick Stelmack (Nellie Bahry); and sisters, Kay Renshaw (Bill) and Julie Wilgosh (Frank). Stanley will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Ethel, of 54 years; his children, Elaine, Shelley, Peggy, and Raymond; granddaughters, Madison and Macara; and sister, Millie Staska (Walter). Dad was born April 10, 1926. in Ladywood, MB. He attended Sandhill School. He helped work on the family farm. During the winters he worked in the Pine Falls bush camps. He married Ethel Kulbaba in 1957, and soon was blessed with four children. Mom and Dad bought their first two-bedroom home in 1959, which they quickly outgrew. Dad was employed at EastWest Packers for 28 years. During his retirement Dad enjoyed tending to his yard and caring for his garden and flowers. Often growing the best tomatoes and peas. One of Dad's favorite pastimes was spending the day fishing. Dad especially cherished the time he spent with his two granddaughters. He also had a gentle, kind heart when it came to animals. Often caring for birds, fish, dogs, cats, even chickens as family pets. The family would like to thank Dr. Turnly Wong, his associates and all the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital; as well as, Dr. J. Drexler for taking care of dad through the years. As per Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB.
