FREDERICK WAYNE BARYLUK
Date of Passing: Sep 29, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK WAYNE BARYLUK Peacefully, on September 29, 2011. Fred might have been a template for the 'North-end Boy', born and raised on Stella Avenue, and never living too far away for long. He worked for the Railway, but his passion was for music, the music of Guthrie and Seeger and Ochs, the whole socialist posse. His prized Martin guitar was always near. Fred had the sensibility of a writer. But he rarely put his thoughts on paper, preferring the walls and floor. That was Freddie's sense of humour. He was an obsessive observer, and an earnest analyzer of life around him. He had a keen eye for the frailty and foibles of us all, and he was outspoken. Yet the standards by which he measured himself were the most rigorous, and deep inside, he was hardest on himself. Fred was charming, and he was infuriating! He lived by his own code and endured the hard knocks without complaint. There was tragedy and there was love. Ultimately, he was a loner, until called upon to be a friend, and then he was steadfast and generous. There are still a few of us left to remember Fred Baryluk fondly, and to wish him 'Peace'.
