EILEEN MINNIE MCKEOWN (nee EDY) Eileen Minnie McKeown (nee Edy) was born on July 21, 1919, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and passed away at the Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg on October 15, 2011, at the age of 92 years. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, John Curtis Harrington Edy and Minnie Louise (Hulbig); and by brothers, Harrington and Allen Edy. She will be sadly missed by her son, Allen van Someren (Dawn) of Kapuskasing, ON; grandchildren, Shawn van Someren (Charlene) of Thunder Bay; Tracy Ratcliffe of Orangeville; and Ronald van Someren (Tiffany) of Ancaster. Great-gramma to Noah and Jaycee Ratcliffe, and Benjamin and Carson van Someren, who will also miss her dearly. She will also be fondly remembered by her people, Wayne and Sandra Kochie, and by many friends. Eileen had a passion for birds. She would spend many hours observing and feeding her birdies. At her request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
