ARTHUR STORDEUR 1927 - 2011 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Arthur Stordeur on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Arthur was predeceased by his parents Henry and Jean; brothers Joe and Rene; he is survived by his brothers: Dennis (Jeannette) and Gilles (Leona), as well as several nieces, nephews, god-children and cousins spread across Canada and overseas. Arthur was born on the homestead at Florsey, MB in 1927. He had a career with Manitoba Telephone System from 1949 to 1985. He had a passion to build, hunt and fish with his many friends and family. He had a love of lumber and to build and repair which led him to a long and fulfilling life at Lake of the Woods where he enjoyed his cottage and assisted many of his friends at their lake homes. We would like to thank the doctors and all the staff on 6th floor E at St. Boniface Hospital for their great compassionate care. In lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe made to St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Cancer Research, D1003 409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. A funeral service celebrating Arthur's life will be held on Friday, October 21, at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Interment will follow in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery.
