KENNETH JOHN BIRD Ken was born January 24, 1943 and passed away October 14, 2011 at Health Sciences Center due to complications with Leukemia. He leaves behind his wife Hazel, two daughters, Melanie (Dave) and Pamela (Darin); three granddaughters, Charly, Kaylie and Emma Rose and one sister Diane (Brian). Kenny had many nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly. He was a big part of the Settee family and his passing will leave a huge void. Ken was predeceased by his parents John and Freda, sister Judy and her son Eddy. He was a family man who maintained a close relationship with his daughters and couldn't sleep at night if he hadn't talked to them that day. He kept his humour to the end and gave the family at least one laugh every day as they cared for him. We so appreciated the tender care given him by the nurses and doctors at the HSC on wards GH4 and ICU. May God bless you all. Pallbearers are Dennis Puetz, Wade Wheeler, Dennis Cameron, Barry Bruce, David Stefensen, John Cook, John Chalmers and Ron Perepuluk. In lieu of flowers please give to hungry children.
