HILDA LORRAINE HALLIDAY September 15, 1922 - October 17, 2011 Lorraine passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital following a short hospitalization. Lorraine was a true Winnipegger, having spent her entire life here. She worked many years with the government even managing to work four years past retirement, when that wasn't the acceptable thing! At Lorraine's request cremation has taken place, and a private funeral service will be held. Interment will take place beside her beloved husband Mitchell and her only child, son Parrish. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Special thanks to her caregivers and special friends, because of you she was able to stay in her own home right up to the last week. Thank You Lord Thank you Lord for all the things That make our lives so bright, For blue skies in the morning, And evening rosey light. For the majesty of the mountains, And the beauty of the sea. For the animals and soaring birds, And the shining green leafed trees. For flowers of a thousand hues, And gardens where they grow, For homes where happy hours passed, And the love those hours know. And thank you Lord for all the things, We might forget to name, For you who know all hearts will know, Where grateful just the same. We ask for just one blessing more, As bright as moon or stars. Give us the wisdom, Lord to know, How fortunate we are. Always loved, always remembered.
