Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOBERT CLARENCE MYRTON JOHNSON August 14, 1927 - October 18, 2011 Obert passed away in the comfort of his own home with family and friends nearby after a short battle with Multiple Myeloma. He spent his entire life farming near his hometown of Starbuck and farming was his first love. Obert was very thrifty, resourceful, and could fix almost anything. He also enjoyed curling, hockey, hunting and fishing and later in life really enjoyed family gatherings. He was active in community and church events and supported the community in many different ways. He was predeceased by his parents Clara and Ole, his siblings Alma, Ora, Myrtle and Clarence, daughter Lorraine and grandson Jessie. Left to mourn and cherish Obert's memory are, his wife Jean (Livingston) of 61 years, his children Keith, Joyce, Pat (Lois), Arlon (Sandy), Leland, Julie (Edmond), and Jacquie (Dale). He will also be missed by his grandchildren Jocelyn (Keith), Kathy (Dustin), Angie (Tyson), Pam, Trevor (Becky), Michael (Erika), Cody, Preston, Amber (Keith), Andrew (Joanne), Rachelle (Blair), and Leanne and great-grandchildren Katelyn, Julia, Taylor, Emily, Macalister and Jayson. The family expresses sincere gratitude to the home care and Palliative Care Staff and their kind consideration. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Starbuck Trinity Lutheran Church, Starbuck, Manitoba. Interment will follow at the Starbuck Cemetery.
