Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY MARIE CARRIERE It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Betty Marie Carriere on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Seven Oaks Hospital after complications from an accident that occurred on Friday, October 7, 2011 at her residence . Betty was predeceased by her mother Alberta Thibodeau, father George Thibodeau, sister Juanita Porter, and brother Melvin Thibodeau. Betty will be greatly missed by her husband Denis (Danny), and her sons Denis (Diane), Brian, Mike and David and daughter Charlene (JR). She is survived by ten grandchildren Celine, Brian Jr. (Bev), Robert, Eric, Lisa, Michelle, Daniel, Rebecca, Shane (Deneige), Cory (Jeff) and her great-grandchildren Carver, Chloe, and Cali. Betty will be dearly by her many close friends. Betty was born in Centreville, Digby County, Nova Scotia on October 31, 1935 and moved to Winnipeg in 1971. Betty and Danny were married for 58 years of which 20 of these years was as a proud navy wife, she loved travelling, visiting and laughing with those around her. She was a loving caring woman who had an open door to those in need; she was generous to a fault and was never judgmental. She loved to have family gatherings and enjoy the laughter and fun with her family. She was a supporter of World Vision for over 20 years. Betty better known as Mom to all that met her loved life to the fullest, she enjoyed going dancing with Danny who was the love of her life. Betty was always a strong supporter of her children and grandchildren in the plans they made, her laughter will be greatly missed. A funeral service celebrating Betty's life will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West.
