Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE HARRY GOODMAN After a long and happy life filled with love and laughter, it is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of George Goodman at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Kay Goodman of 59 years, cherished daughters Janice Foster (Chris) and Joan Goodman, loving grandchildren, Morgan and Mason Foster and Jason and Jeremy Klaus, sister-in-law, Peggy Goodman, and many nieces and nephews. George is predeceased by his son, Gregg, his parents, John and Ada Goodman and his in-laws Ed and Francis Poustie, brothers, John and Jim Goodman, sisters Ethel McCallum and Ada Goodman. George was born on January 27, 1929 and passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. He attended King George School and Norwood Collegiate. When his children were growing up, many years were spent enjoying fun times at Betula Lake in the Whiteshell. George was Sales Manager for Crane Supply, and after 41 years, retired in 1989. When retired, George and Kay enjoyed extensive travel throughout the world making so many friends and memories and especially all the times spent in Honolulu, Hawaii. George was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered most for his kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. He always made us laugh. In the summer, he took pleasure in being in the yard enjoying the tranquility that it offered. Most every day you could always find him sitting in his chair doing his crossword puzzle. He will be missed by his special, life-long friends. George was a good man, not just in his name, but as a person and was loved by all that were fortunate enough to have known him. In keeping with George's wishes, there will be no service. We would like to thank all our wonderful friends for all their love and support during this time. We especially thank the dedicated staff at St. Boniface hospital for their magnificent care. When we have love in our hearts, our happiness will never die.
