ROBERT (BOB) MITCHELL It is with great sadness the family of Robert (Bob) Mitchell announces his death on October 10, 2011 at Vista Park Lodge in Winnipeg. Bob was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and immigrated to Canada with his wife and family on November 22, 1958. He worked for TransCanada Pipelines at Ile Des Chenes for 25 years, retiring in 1984. Bob was predeceased by his parents, by three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rebecca (Ruby); sons, Bob (Carolyn), David (Betty); and daughters, Jean (Don), Elizabeth (Greg) and their families; by his sister Joan in N. Ireland and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his friends and family. A private family service was held at Chapel Lawn on Monday, October 17, 2011. Absent from the body, at home with the Lord. The family wishes to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their care and concern during the past 5 and one half years.
