CLIFFORD FORD Clifford Ford, 80, passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Cliff will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lorraine (Herrebout), sons Garry and Kevin (Dorothy), grandchildren Christopher and Jason (Garry), Jessica and Samantha (Kevin). He will also be missed by his brother Doug (Vera) and sister Dorothy. He is predeceased by his father Henry, mother Pearl, brothers Kenneth and Harold, and sister Doreen. Cliff was born in the north end of Winnipeg and was proud of it, attending Machray School and later Red River College. He obtained a certificate in industrial electronics and became an installation/service technician for ADT Security Systems, working for 30 years and retiring in 1995. After retiring Cliff and Lorraine travelled visiting relatives in the U.S. and Canada Cliff loved his grandchildren very much, attending or chauffeuring them and their friends to various activities and school. One of Cliff's main passions was camping. The first two weeks of July for 16 years the family camped throughout most of Canada and the states. The experiences and family time together are some of our best memories. In the latter years Cliff slowed down but still loved getting out of the house and going to visit his coffee friends at Tim's on Kenaston. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Special thanks to Pam and staff at St. Boniface Hospital 5E and Deer Lodge staff 4E. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cliff's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., R2H 9Z9.
