Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMY SCHEI (nee BLANCHARD) It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother Amy Doreen Alphonsene Schei, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Mom was 70 years old. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kjell Schei, her children and their families, Robert Holden (Onalea, Cory, Colin), Shelly Paton (Bruce), Glen Holden (Kim, Brandi, Ashdyn), Kelly Holden (Carol, Dante, Awen, Peyton), her sister Doreen Becker (Ed), and her brothers Maurice Blanchard (Shirley), Joseph Blanchard (Allison), and many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents Annie and Alphonse Blanchard, her brother Roland Blanchard (Hilda), her sister Evelyn Lavallie (Fred) and George Holden. Mom spent most of her life in Winnipeg where she raised her family. She worked several years as a secretary and librarian in the St.Vital School Division. She was a fabulous cook and extremely hard working. She retired as the kitchen manager at the St. Boniface Golf Club, where she worked for many years and loved her job. Mom had a passion for music and was gifted with a beautiful singing voice. She was a very strong and courageous woman who fought cancer for so many years. Mom, you are in a peaceful place now and know that we love you and we'll miss you. You will be in our hearts forever. Good-bye for now. The family is honouring our Mom's request not to have a service.
