CLIVE CAMPBELL 1936 - 2011 On October 21, 2011 Clive passed away peacefully at Betel Home, Selkirk after a lengthy illness at the age of 75. He was predeceased by his parents James and Janet Campbell and his son Mark. He is survived by his wife Jean of 53 years, son Conrad (Carrie), daughter Marie (Jim), daughter-in-law Roseanne (Howie); grandchildren, Sarah (Ross), Wes (Avril), Nadine (Justin), Robert, Christopher and Mark and one great grandson Ryan, brothers Donald, Robert (Linda), Alex (Linda), sisters Jean (Roger), Sandra (Bruce), Kathy (Harold), Chris (Dennis) and Marylou, also numerous nephews and nieces. Clive was born February 1936, at Teulon Hospital. He lived his whole life at Teulon. After finishing high school at Teulon he worked at Manitoba Bridge for eight years. In 1958 he married Jean Dack from Warren. They began farming and raised their three children on the farm. Clive was active in the cattle industry, serving on the Charolais Cattle Board at Gunton Test Bull Station, the Interlake Cattle Association and the local board for United Grain Growers. In 1980 he was pleased and proud to have the farm honoured as a Century Farm. In 1989 Jean and Clive were both seriously injured in a car accident. As a result, they had to leave the farm and moved into Farview Place in Teulon. Clive loved hunting, trapping and fishing anything outdoors. He especially enjoyed swapping stories and spending time with his grandchildren. In later years, he was a regular at auction sales and always came home with a new treasure. He felt fortunate to have spent 20 winters in Palm Springs where he loved messing around in his brother Don's shop. His family appreciate the wonderful care he received from the staff at Betel Home. As per Clive's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Clive's life will be held at Teulon Hall on Saturday, October 29, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Goodwin Lodge, Teulon, Oak Hammock Marsh or a charity of your choice. MACKENZIE FUNERAL HOME STONEWALL (204) 467-2525 MACKHOME@MTS.NET
