Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY JOSEPH ORBANSKI March 18, 1920 October 21, 2011 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stanley Joseph Orbanski on October 21, 2011, at St. Joseph's Residence in Winnipeg, with his wife Mary, daughter Millie, and son-in-law Wayne by his side. Stan was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Nettie; wife Jean; brothers Frank, Paul, Mike, Walter; and sisters, Caroline and Anne. Survived by his second wife Mary of Winnipeg; daughter Millie (Wayne) of Stonewall; sons, Garry of Winnipeg, Donald (Judy) of Arborg, Clyde (Cecile) of Gimli; brother Roy (Eunice) of Kelowna BC; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Stan was born and raised on the family farm near Arnes, Manitoba. He was a hardworking man throughout his life. His first job was with McKenzie mines in Red Lake Ontario. He then accepted a job with Inco Mining in Sudbury Ontario, where he first met/married Jean and started his family. He saved enough money to return to Manitoba and buy land in Arnes, where began to farm. Stan was also employed in heavy construction, trucking, as well as an entrepreneur/business owner. Stan loved to dance, play cards, travel and enjoy a traditional polish meal. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph's Residence for the care and compassion given to Stanley over the past years. Funeral services will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, Manitoba, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Visitation prior to service.
