HELMUT WEIDEMANN April 8, 1926 - October 22, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of Helmut Weidemann announces his passing on October 22, 2011 at the Grace Hospital. Helmut will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Lieselotte, sister Julianne, son Jurgen (Erwin) and wife Bonnie, daughter Brigitte, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helmut was born in Bachenau, Germany. He arrived in Canada in 1953. He spent the majority of his working life as a machinist at Versatile International. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a kind, gentle man who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Helmut was an avid outdoorsman. His prowess as a hunter made him a respected member of the St. Hubertus Hunting and Fishing Club. Special thanks are extended to the staff at Golden West for almost seven years of excellent care. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Golden West.
