Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH ELAINE MCGILL 1916 - 2011 Ruth Elaine McGill (nee Dobson), born April 7, 1916, died October 23, 2011 at age 95. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Stan McGill, her daughter Maureen Marr in 1976, and her infant twins. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Rosalind (Dick) Dearing; son-in-law David (Penny) Marr; grandchildren Geoff Ripat (Jill Cooper), Jacquie Ripat (Blair McCartney), Pauline Ripat (Darren Osadchuk), and Tim (Janne) Marr; step-grandchildren Kevin Dearing (Susan Barnett) and Robin Dearing (Jason Noordman); nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was a graduate of United College (BA'37). We will remember Ruth for her love of people, dogs, flowers, and gardening and for her wonderful smile. Ruth's family is grateful to the staff at Golden Door Personal Care Home for their excellent care over the past 10 years. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., at the Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road. Interment in Killarney Cemetery will occur at a later date. I showed this to our children and told how she and our mom, Shirley, were the same age and went through school together including United College. Our condolences to you and your family.
