Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEROME (JERRY) STAMMEN June 30, 1934 - October 24, 2011 Passed away peacefully at White Rock Hospital in BC. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Rita, daughter Cindy (Perry) Sobkowich, son Randy, and grandchildren Hanna and Evan - who provided so much joy in his life. Jerome was born in Humbolt, SK and later moved with his family to Rorketon, MB in 1944. He spent his adult life in Winnipeg, marrying Rita (Boisvert) in 1961 and worked at DRG Globe Envelopes for 36 years. The family lived on Hillary Cresent for more than 40 years and all will remember the fun-filled gatherings. He was a member of the St. Charles Men's Club and after retirement enjoyed marshling at Players Golf Course. He never refused a game of golf, or the chance to tell the latest joke - he will be greatly missed. He was one of nine children and is survived by his sisters Alice (Jim) Coady, Marion Farlette, Diane (Claude) Chepil, Joan, many sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at St. Charles Catholic Parish, 395 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg on November 3 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association at www.cmha.ca or 613-745-7750 ext. 224.
