ROBERT WILSON LANGTRY Youngest son of L.B. (Dick) and Marion Langtry, brother to Richard and David, and good friend of Skipper the dog. The Wilson' came from his Nana Price. Bob did his growing up on Lipton Street in Winnipeg's West End and later on at the Kane House on Fleet and Cambridge. Life was good. Very good. As the teens turned into the 20s, life dealt Bob some very tough choices; tougher than most. Cooking in mining and lumber camps in the Rocky Mountains would have afforded Bob many spectacular vistas and times few of us ever get to experience. Keeping miners and loggers well fed is hard work. Again, not the easy road chosen. The rocky road of life was the path Bob took. Maybe it was that Langtry Irish' that challenged Bob to choose the most difficult path. He did. Life deals good cards to some and poor cards to others, but stay in the game he did. Wednesday morning after breakfast with his friend George in Edmonton the game ended. A blessing? Dying with a full stomach and with an old friend isn't a bad way to go. Not long ago, as his Mom closed out her years, Bob came to the party' and spent several months with the person that loved him more than anyone. Our hope and prayers that the path Little Brother' is now on finally takes the long hard load of those shoulders. There are no plans for a service or funeral in Edmonton at this time.
