Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALDA MARGUERITE SHARPE March 25, 1926 - October 24, 2011 Donalda was predeceased by parents, Glen and Frieda Stewart, and her husband George Sharpe in 1988 and by her daughter Susan in 2007. Donalda is survived by her daughter Leslie Sharpe (Bill Gallant), grandson William Mark Boles and great-granddaughter Kara Boles. She is also survived by siblings Beth Frederick, Lillian Walsh, David Stewart and their families as well as in-laws and many nieces and nephews in the Sharpe family. Born in Winnipeg, Donalda lived for 81 years in Pine Falls, MB and had relocated to Fort Frances, ON in 2007. A stenographer, Donalda worked several years before her marriage and again from 1973 to 1987 for the Abitibi-Price Paper Company in Pine Falls. Prior to 1973, after some years spent at home raising two girls, she had worked for eight years for the Department of Indian Affairs in Pine Falls. Donalda was a life-time member of the Pine Falls Curling Club, a proud A.A. member, a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary and of the Pine Falls United Church. She had served on the executives of all of these organizations. In Fort Frances, Donalda attended Knox United Church. While she had travelled to Hawaii, Mexico, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, the Yukon and Alaska, the memories mom most cherished were of good times spent for 27 years with family and friends at the cottage at Wallace Lake, near Bissett, MB. Exhausted by ill-health, mom took great comfort in her staunch belief that she would be reunited with those she cherished and missed who had gone before her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at the Pine Falls United Church, Pine Falls, MB, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. As per Donalda's wishes, flowers are gratefully declined. I have so many fond memories of Donalda! My friendship started on the curling ice, she had so much fun, and no beer! It continued when I walked into the AA clubhouse in Powerview, 21 years ago this coming February. And then proving we are connected, I met and worked with and became close friends with Tracy, (Kara's mom) I wish I could come for the celebration of the life of such a wonderful lady! Love ya Donalda! God Bless! - Posted by: Mark Petursson (Friend) on: Oct 29, 2011
