MARGARET OLIVE DOROSH (nee MCDOUGALL) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Margaret Dorosh on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Margaret slipped peacefully into God's rest with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Gammy , sisters, relatives, friends and the staff at Catherine Place. Margaret just recently celebrated her 90th birthday where she was surrounded by family and friends, something she cherished dearly. Over the years she had spent numerous holidays, birthdays and special occasions with the ones she loved. She will always be remembered for welcoming us into her home where she cooked and took care of us all. In her younger years Margaret worked at Eaton's Department Store and was a member of the St. Vital Legion. She enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage, sewing and knitting. She was a member of St. Emile Parish for many years and later attended Christ the King. She was a lady of faith and never missed her Sunday visits with God. Her favourite pastime was spending her days at the lake with her husband Bill and got joy from watching her children and grandchildren fish and water ski. Although our hearts are heavy we take comfort in knowing she is returning to the Heavenly Father and will be reunited with her husband, two daughters, sisters, brothers and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St., with viewing one half hour prior to the service and interment to follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Margaret to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9. Keep on dancing Gammy!
