MARIANNE REGEHR (nee WIEBE) August 10, 1932 - October 29, 2011 Peacefully on October 29, 2011, at River East Personal Care Home, with family at her side, Marianne passed away at the age of 79. Marianne was born in Schoensee, West Prussia. She was baptized in Krefeld, Germany on April 9, 1949, and came to Canada in the spring of 1951. The following summer, she married Walter Regehr in Coledale, Alberta. They made their home in Winnipeg and raised their four children. Her life's work involved service at First Mennonite Church, Bethania Personal Care Home and was a longtime member of the Winnipeg African Violet Society. Marianne was predeceased by her husband, Walter Regehr and her brother Karl Heinz Wiebe. Cherishing her memory are her daughter Karin and husband Bill Thiessen, Sarah, Erika and Josh, Madelyn and Braden; daughter Susanne and husband Peter Krahn, Angela, Gilles, David (Katherine), Mike (Brenda); son Bernie and wife Ingrid Froese, Leah, Steven, and Shawn; and son Ralph and wife Janice Regehr, Katrina (Trevor), Zachariah and Bethany; brother Horst; brother Helmut and Irma Wiebe; brother Eckardt and Ute Wiebe; and brother-in-law Lothar and Ruth Regehr. Marianne will also be remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.with Rev. K. Koop officiating. Cremation has taken place with private interment. The family wishes to thank the wonderful care given to Marianne at the River East Personal Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to M.C.C. or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
