JULES (JOE) DUPRE Peacefully in his sleep, Dad passed away October 29, 2011 at Park Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 85. Dad was born on November 5, 1925 in Ross, MB, and grew up on the family farm. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond (1977) and Madeleine (2002), wife Lucille (1988), twin sister Louise (1996) and brother-in-law Emiel Van de Keere (2008) and great-grandson Nathaniel Bushell (2011). He will be sadly missed by his children: Jeannette Feilberg, Michael (Audrey) Dupre, Yvonne (Randall), Kinley and Leo (Silvana) Dupre; his grandchildren: Cheri-Anne (Dan Bushell), Candice and Benjamin Feilberg, Darrell, Ian and Michelle Dupre, Eric, Laura and Devin Kinley, and Kayla Dupre; great-grandchildren: Jasmyn, Sarah, Danielle and Denise; sister Marie (Frank) Poredos and brother George (Margaret) Dupre, friend Tony Poredos, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dad worked in the logging and paper and pulp industries. Dad loved gardening; at one point digging up his entire yard to make room for more plants. He also enjoyed playing cards, participating in many cribbage tournaments. After retiring, Dad spent much of his time visiting with and helping family and friends. He became the neighbourhood handyman. He was also a regular guest at Park Manor, often visiting his mother and the many friends he met there. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Green Acres Funeral Home with viewing to be held half an hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff of Park Manor for the excellent care Dad received there. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jules may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda Street, Winnipeg, MB, R2C 1L7.
