JOHN HIEBERT March 22, 1930 - October 31, 2011 Peacefully after a brief illness, it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John Hiebert on Monday, October 31, 2011, at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 81 years. Left to forever cherish John's memory are his siblings, Trudy, Abe (Sally), Tina (Jake), Jake (Audrey), and Ed (Mary); extended family Jerrine (Leo) Brenner of Lethbridge, Alberta, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. John was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Peggy) in 2010. After John's retirement, he could be found at the Sandy Hook Golf Course repairing golf carts. He was also an avid card player and enjoyed playing cards with his friends at Catherine Place. On Friday, November 4, 2011 John's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to The Salvation Army, 500 - 55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 1L8 or to a charity of your choice.
