FLORENCE ELIZABETH SINCLAIR (nee JERVIS) 1922 - 2011 Peacefully on October 25, 2011,Florence Elizabeth Sinclair, age 88 years, passed away at Calvary Place. Predeceased by her husband, Jack, Florence will be lovingly remembered by their four children, Ann Paterson (William) of Edmonton, Sheila Anderson (Bruce), James Sinclair (Jean), and Janet Beattie (Gord) all of Winnipeg. She was a wonderful Grandma to John and Elizabeth Paterson (fiancé Josh Baron), Laurel McConnell (Ryan), Garett and Gillian Anderson, Tim and Meagan Mullen, Andrew and Mason Sinclair. She was also great-grandma to Ayla McConnell. Family was of great importance to Florence. Through the years, she supported us all in the best way she knew possible. Her support carried over to her grandchildren, making an effort to be present at sports events, music presentations, and other events they were involved in. Throughout her life, Florence was actively involved in the Presbyterian Church in Winnipeg. She also volunteered extensively, working with the YWCA, CancerCare, Meals on Wheels and other organizations. Our thanks to the wonderful second floor staff of Calvary Place; Pompeii, Mary Ann, Bonita, Adi, and others for their compassionate care of Florence and our family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church, 1476 Portage Avenue, on Saturday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Allan Farris officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the St. James Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 1476 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0W3 or to the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
