Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA JEAN MONTGOMERY After a lengthy illness Patricia passed away on October 27, 2011, at West Park Manor, at the age of 79 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Wesley and Ethel Montgomery, her brother Wesley, his wife Isla and their daughter Carol. Her surviving family members include her sister, Gloria Hastings, her niece Kim Hastings and nephews: Bob, Brian, Bill, Brent and Bradley Hastings. Pat is also survived by Wesley's grandchildren, Matthew and Graham Fidler. Pat was a devoted daughter to her mother, Ethel, who died in 1994 at the age of 95. Patricia's employment included 13 years at General Motors, before moving to the Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba, where she worked as an administrator for 25 years. During this time she displayed a talent for attention to detail and implementing procedures to ensure equitable treatment of students at the University. After Patricia's retirement from the University in 1992, she spent her time volunteering for Westminster United Church and had a special interest in the Winnipeg Humane Society. Patricia's love of dogs remained throughout her life as did her love of music. Flowers are gratefully declined, but for those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Winnipeg Humane Society. A memorial service in celebration of Patricia's life will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 12:00 noon at Voyage Funeral Home, 1577 Pembina Hwy.
