ALLAN (OLIE) CLIFFORD OLSON 1939 - 2011 On October 27, 2011 peacefully after a lengthy illness, with his family at his side, our Dad, Allan, left this world to join the love of his life Donna Jones. Dad was predeceased by his partner in life, Donna Jones in 2010, his parents Della (1982) and Harry (1988) and his son-in-law Phillip Newton (2004). Left to deeply mourn his passing are his children Marty (Wendy) and Marilyn Newton (Jim Rourke), four grandsons Kyle and Scott Newton, Kristopher and Bradley Olson, and stepdaughter Darcy Mushey. Also left to mourn, his sister Myrna Ewanek (John), brothers Vernon (Iris) and Brian (Margaret), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in- law Arthur Merritt and adopted grandson Jamie. Dad was born September 3, 1939 in Teulon. He went to school in Erinview and Teulon, graduating in 1958. Shortly after graduating, Dad earned his Electrical Ticket. In 1966 Dad would start his own business Olson's Electric which he would run and work for the next 43 years. The family would like to thank the nurses at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital as well as Doctors Gill and Loudon for the excellent care that Dad received. Dad is gone but will never be forgotten... He is now dancing with Donna in Heaven. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Teulon Rockwood Memorial Hall. All who knew Dad are welcome to attend. A private family graveside service will be held earlier in the day. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southwest District Palliative Care in Dad's memory or to a charity of your choice.
