JACK L. SHEFFIELD Peacefully with his family by his side, Jack Sheffield passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy, he is lovingly remembered by daughter Lori (Zenon), son David (Janice), grandchildren Robert and Samantha, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Jack was predeceased by two brothers. Jack was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1922. Jack and Dorothy were married in 1950 and subsequently moved with their children to Winnipeg in 1970. Jack started his career at CN Rail in 1939, taking leave to serve with the military. After advancing his career through CN, and earning his CMA, Jack ended his career as the Works Accountant in the Transcona Shops. Retiring in 1986, he spent much of his time gardening, wood working and watching his grandchildren turn into the young adults they are now. He would never have missed one of their recitals, concerts, or graduation events. Jack was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his family. He was an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Church and thoroughly enjoyed participating in the many activities that took place there.
