Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dr. Stevenson has been gone for several years now, but he has been in my thoughts recently. I was likely an inconsequential person to Paul, but there was always a great respect for him within my family. I would visit Paul's home with my dad when his computer needed repair. He always kept Werther's caramels on the kitchen ledge, which I always helped myself to. I tried (and failed) many times to win the friendship of his misanthropic cat, Bear, one incident left me with a scar next to my eye which I still have. I remember his home being notably simple, humble, with many shelves of books. He was kind enough to invite our family to his cabin at Falcon Lake several times. I still have a photo where he pulled the Bunny Ears trick on me. One time after many drinks at a family barbeque, I remember Paul cracking up telling us about his favourite episodes of Trailer Park Boys. I never forgot how hard he laughed! I wish I had known Dr. Stevenson in my adult years, so that I would have the chance to speak to him regarding his work. Thank you for your contribution to academia & for enriching the lives of others. - Posted by: Jenna Moroz-Roberts (Family Friend) on: Nov 17, 2018
