RUTH CAROLINE HALUCK "Mom is Returning Home" Ruth Caroline Haluck (nee Walesiak), peacefully passed on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. Ruth was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 25, 1929. She was married to James Haluck on July 27, 1946 in Hamtramck, Michigan. After her husband's retirement in 1984, Ruth and her family moved from Winnipeg to Lake Forest, California and then to Reno, Nevada in 2005. Ruth enjoyed working as an Accountant for Michael's Galleries in Irvine, California and later as a Merchant Teller for the Bank of America in Lake Forest, California. During her retirement in Reno, she loved to visit the office (casinos) and participated in local tournaments. She enjoyed making her special pancake breakfasts for family and friends whenever they visited. Ruth leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Alice May Haluck; son James William Haluck and wife Myna Violet Haluck; brother Leonard Wolechuk, wife Shirley and family; brother Mitchell Walechuk, wife Violet and family; special nephews Ted Kloss; Wayne Ritcher, wife Beth and family; Welland (Wedge) Ritcher, and all her friends who called her Momma Ruth in Canada, Lake Forest and Reno. She was predeceased by her loving husband James in 1991, sisters Wanda, Betty, Adeline, brothers Victor and Zigmond, and nephew Christopher. Prayers will be said on Wednesday evening, November 9 at 7:00 p.m., at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB with Fr. Gerry Ward. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m., at Glen Eden Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Wollbaum officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
