Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORINNE MAVIS BENGER Peacefully on November 4, 2011, at Pembina Place Personal Care Home, Corinne Mavis Benger (nee Hutchinson) passed away. Left to cherish Corinne's memory is her loving husband of 58 years, Leonard; son, Gerald (Deborah); and grandsons, Matthew and Andrew. Born in Winnipeg in 1928, Corinne grew up in the West End; an only child, adored by her parents, Olive and James Hutchinson. After graduation she had several jobs and was employed for many years in the accounting department at Sears, where she made lifelong friendships. Corinne spent 79 summers at the family cottage in Ontario, enjoying lake life. The family's fondest memories are of our time at the lake with Corinne. She loved the water, canoeing and especially swimming. Peaceful days at the lake always ended with a competitive game of cards. Corinne enjoyed reading, knitting and bowling, but her biggest joy was cheering and supporting Gerry, Matthew and Andrew at all of their sporting events (swim meets, soccer, hockeyeven outdoor hockey games). Corinne will be remembered by family and friends as a loving and devoted daughter, niece, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a thoughtful and caring person with a beautiful smile. Corinne will be always remembered and always loved. A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of Pembina Place. Special thanks to Barb Duguid for her love and support. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
