MARIE GILBERTE GODIN (nee OUELLETTE) October 25, 1934 November 3, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marie. With her devoted husband at her side, Marie left us peacefully at the age of 77. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 59 years, Albé Godin; her children, Linda Grégoire (Claude Mousseau), Maurice (Maureen), Claude (Connie), Brenda, Doreen Davies (John), Albé Jr. (Marguerite) and Donald (Ashley). She will also be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sister, Marguerite and brothers, Joseph, Lucien and Tony. She was predeceased by her daughter Christine in 1969, her son-in-law Guy Grégoire in 1997, her parents, Ernest and Azélie, and siblings Etiennette, Armand, Gérard, Gilberte, Albert, Alphée and Hortense. Marie was a compassionate, faithful woman, who found comfort in loving her family. Her cheerful smile could warm up the room, encouraging others to rejoice in happiness. Marie was a selfless woman, always putting others ahead of herself, and as our guardian angel here on earth, she protected all those who were special to her. We trust, because of her enormous heart and kind nature, that our beloved Marie is in heaven, rejoicing with the Lord, our God. We are confident that she is and will continue to attend to and protect her family. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Taché Centre (special thank you to Colette) for the compassionate care given to Marie during her stay there for the past six years. A mass to celebrate Marie's life will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood.
