WILLIAM (BILL / WILLY) CHERNETSKY November 20, 1928 - November 4, 2011 Suddenly on a beautiful, sunny fall day at Nutimik Lake, Bill has left us, but many lasting memories will forever be in our hearts. He will be forever missed and loved by his daughter Brenda (Warren and Kyle Trach), daughter Barb (Marc and Alex Multan), his loving companion of 20 years Connie Richardson (children Keith,Garry, Donna, and Sandy), sister Violet (Bert (deceased), Doug and Wes),brother Johnny (Violet (deceased),Dina, Craig and Mary),and sister Bunny (John Buchan). Bill was married for 23 years to Violet Zalusky (Vi Cherny). He was predeceased in 1963 by his stepfather Tom Andrews and his mother Mary Andrews in 1989. Bill will be truly missed by many other family and friends of whom there are far too many to list. Bill spent his younger days working as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in British Columbia, much of Northwest Ontario, and Northern Manitoba. He worked for Simpkins Bros. (BACM) and later for Wakshinsky Bros. until he retired at 65. Meeting Connie was a joyful moment; she lovingly tended to him and spoiled him daily. They travelled to Europe, Cook Islands, Florida, Texas, Mexico, and had many casino trips but Bill's favourite times were enjoyed at his cottage at Nutimik Lake. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone; his joyful, spirited personality was enjoyed by all. Bill's true enjoyment was spent in his garden, working with his hands. His garage was his refuge as many hours were spent working on his countless projects. A private family viewing took place on Monday. Cremation will take place as per Bill's wishes. Interment is at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011. All are invited after to attend a celebration of his amazing life at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice in his memory. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111 www.gleneden-mb.ca
