ANITA E. MURPHY (nee WOJNOWSKI) It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Anita Murphy on Monday, November 7, 2011. She died peacefully with her husband Lawrence and her children at her bedside. Anita is survived by her husband Lawrence Murphy, her children, Leonard Richter (Steffi), Norman Richter (Yvonne), Lyndon Richter (Beverly), and Linda Yamada (Dave). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is joining her youngest child, Sylvia Douglas in heaven. Anita was born in Piotkov, Poland on August 22, 1925. She immigrated to Canada at the age of three years. She and her family settled in Lampman, Saskatchewan. Later in life, she moved to Winnipeg to raise her family of five and worked at the General Hospital as a ward clerk. In 1974, she decided to buy her own taxicab when Unicity Taxi was created where she met the love of her life Larry Murphy. Her life was filled with friendships so many, that she has lived a full and happy life. Our hearts and thanks go out to all her relatives and friends that have been touched by her passing and have comforted Larry and her children.
