FLORENCE MILDRED BERG (nee GRAWBERGER) September 24, 1926 - November 6, 2011 It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the passing of Millie of Piney, MB. On November 6, 2011 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. Our dear loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and aunt. Millie leaves to cherish her memory her husband Sigvard of 67 years, 11 months, and six days, sons Gerald (Nancy) Winnipeg, Kelly (Chris) Alberta, daughters, Marion (Len) Rostie Winnipeg, Marilyn (Lloyd) Pederson Menisino, Darlene (Brad) Bjornson Carman, Shelley (Darryl) Alexiuk Piney, 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grand-children, and one great-great-grandchild. Survived by two sisters, one brother, two sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by four sons and one granddaughter. Mom was born in Piney to Isaac and Augusta Grawberger. November 27, 1943 Mom married her soul mate Sigvard, together they raised nine children. Mom was a kind and compassionate lady who had many friends. Mom loved children and was grandma to many. Family was important to her. We would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Bethesda Hospital and Vita Funeral Home for their acts of kindness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Community Centre in Piney, MB. Any donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. God say you getting tired And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you and whispered, Come to me . With tearful eyes and heavy hearts We watched you pass away, And although we love you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden, beautiful heart stopped beating, Loving hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best!
