PHYLLIS MARY BELL (WISEMAN) -
Date of Passing: Nov 05, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS MARY BELL (nee WISEMAN) 1917 - 2011 On Saturday, November 5, 2011, our beautiful and beloved mother, Phyllis went to Heaven to be with her son, Ronald Roy and will watch over her daughters, Phyllis Jean and Donna-Mae and son Douglas Dean. Mom has left special memories for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughters and sons-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Mom touched the lives of each of you and counted all of her extended family precious. Phyllis will be missed by so many family and friends especially her dear friend Betty Dunn. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Thorvaldson family and their incredible staff for the exceptional kindness, care and support given to Mom in her last years. Phyllis was the only daughter of farming parents who homesteaded from England. She married and raised her children on the farm and in Neepawa. At the age of 80, she decided to move to Winnipeg to be closer to her children. She lived her life with dignity and grace through the good times and the hard times. Phyllis was a Mother Extraordinaire and took great pride in creating the best possible healthy, happy home for her family. She was a talented artist, a skilled seamstress, a wonderful cook and homemaker. She was very beautiful, always dressed to perfection, hair coiffed and jewelry on. Phyllis was very happy in the city and found joy in finding a new home, forming new friendships, discovering new restaurants and shops, enjoying the art galleries and flower displays. When Phyllis needed care she moved to a new home which she called Heaven on Earth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis's memory to the CNIB, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3. A Celebration of Mom's Life will be held on Sunday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tache Room at the Norwood Hotel, 112 Marion St., Winnipeg, MB.
