CHRISTINE ANN SOKOL Christine Ann Sokol passed away at home on Saturday, November 5, 2011. Christine was born on June 7, 1963 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. She leaves to mourn her son Aaron, daughter Amber (Dave Hill, father) and her children's grandparents Dorothy and Bob Hill; along with brothers Clif (Marilyn), Ken, sister Karen and sister-in-law Donna Hill; also nephews Stevie (Chantal), Daniel, nieces Sara (Tim), Alycia and great-niece Cali, as well as many extended family members. Chris was predeceased by her father Bill and mother Frances. Chris grew up in Vermette and attended school in Ile Des Chenes and Lorette, MB. She attended post secondary school and later worked for the family business (Ace Disposal) for 20 plus years. Chris was happiest when surrounded by her children, family and friends. She also loved her cats, enjoyed gardening at home as well as at her parents home. Chris was a regular at the farmers market and fresh produce stands, always looking for that deal. She loved being at the lake and enjoyed the water. Chris was known for her generosity and caring for others. She was the family organizer, the go to person to get things done. She loved Christmas and birthdays, always making sure her children, along with nieces and nephews and friends' children had a gift to open. Chris will be greatly missed by her family and friends. On Saturday, November 12, 2011 a Celebration of Chris' life will be held at 1:00 p.m., at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue W.
