CLARA VICTORIA AMELL (nee KRAMPETZ) September 23, 1919 - November 7, 2011 On November 7, 2011, at the age of 92, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother peacefully passed away and entered the gates of heaven. Clara was predeceased by her beloved husband W. Edward, her siblings and her grandson Darren. She will be missed by her son Bruce (Marlene), Ian, Clare (MJ), Craig, and daughter Brenda (Dave), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom loved sports and excelled in baseball and bowling. In 1945 she was recruited to play with the Racine Bells and had the opportunity to play in Madison Square Gardens and Wrigley Field. Clara played second base for the 1944 - 1948 St. Boniface Athletics who were inducted into the Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame and Museum in 2003. The family would like to thank the staff of Poseidon Care Centre for taking such loving care of our mother. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place in the Spring of 2012.
