Left to forever cherish Bill's memory are his wife Dianne, of 36 years of marriage; son Ryan; daughters Jaime and Kerilyn (Garrett); only grandchild Taylor Lynn; brother Jim (Dawn) Harriott; sister Gail Whyte; as well as aunt Marlene Watson. He was predeceased by his mother Oddny (Audrey) Harriott; father William (Bill) Taylor Harriott; John Edward Harriott (Uncle Jack); Roy and Hilda Harriott; brother-in-law Bill Whyte. On September 4, 1951 Bill was born in Minnedosa, MB. Together he and Dianne raised their family in St. Andrews the past 28 years. Since January 1982, he has been an active member of the Winnipeg Police Service where he enjoyed working along fellow police officers, most recently in the APU Unit, Shift B 5. A consummate family man; Bill was humble and full of kindness. He enjoyed helping his family and friends and never asked for anything in return. He spent countless hours with all his family members giving help and guidance whenever needed. Bill's love for family was so deep it was even shown in his passion for his granddogs (Diego, Teka and Roxie). Bill loved to travel and enjoyed many family trips; especially a surprise trip to Memphis, the home of Elvis. The family would like to thank the emergency unit at Selkirk General Hospital, Winnipeg Police Service and the Winnipeg Police Association for their support and continued support at this challenging time. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Masonic Temple, 420 Corydon Ave. A private interment will be held at a later date. Bill you touched many lives with your smile and willingness to help anyone. My family's life will be changed forever and its hard to imagine you not being there. I know my daughter Jodi will always cherish her memories of seeing you at work and calling you " Uncle Bill" . I guess you have been called to the Lord to serve a greater purpose. Although you will not be here with us in body you will always be here with us in spirit. We will miss you Bill but you will never be forgotten. Ron Dirr - Posted by: Ron Dirr (Friend) on: Nov 10, 2011
