David married his teenage love Diana Brand, age 20, on August 4, 1990. Together they had three daughters, Alicia, Jessica and Christa. David passed on November 12, 2011. Dave was predeceased by his father Gerald Hamata and survived by his wife Diana Hamata, daughters Alicia (Robin) Klimchuk, Jessica Hamata, Christa Hamata, mother Margaret DelBigio, stepfather Rowland DelBigio, brother Martin (Janice) Hamata, sister Laura Lee (Cliff) Greenfield, nieces, Robyn (Colby) Desender, Morgan Hamata, great-niece Jillian Desender, nephews, Devon Lee, Nelson Lee, Dylan Hamata and Mitchell Hamata. The celebration of life for the late David Hamata will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Nipawin, SK. Memorial tributes may be made to the Cancer Society/Relay for Life. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home Ltd. In Nipawin, SK.
