LAWRENCE ALEX SHWALUK December 1, 1954 - November 12, 2011 With great sorrow we announce the untimely passing of Lawrence Shwaluk at Shoal Lake, MB. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Kathleen Shwaluk and sister-in-law Lisa Shwaluk. He attended school at Oakburn and Rossburn Collegiate and dedicated almost his entire life to the family farm near Oakburn. Lawrence greatly enjoyed recreational camping, hunting, fishing and entertaining his many nieces and nephews. Left to mourn his passing are sister, Eileen (Tony) Hunt of Stoke Ferry, England, brothers: Jack (Linda) Shwaluk of Pine Falls, Ernest (Eleanor) Shwaluk of Portage la Prairie and Len Shwaluk of Winnipeg. He will be lovingly remembered by nephews John Shwaluk of New Westminster, BC, Trevor (Maureen) Shwaluk of Portage la Prairie, Trent (Maureen) Shwaluk of Calgary, Tyson Shwaluk of Winnipeg, Mark and niece Andrea Shwaluk of Winnipeg, great- nieces: Kiera, Maddie and Paige and great- nephew Max. He will be fondly remembered by uncles Albert Shwaluk of Chiliwack, Donald Koroscil of Sandy Lake and Frank Yanchycki of Shoal Lake along with numerous cousins. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Oakburn. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Oakburn. Rest in peace Lawrence-you will be greatly missed.
