DOLLY DUCHARME It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Dolly on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the age of 97 years. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert (Brenda), Ernie (Nancy) and Clifford (Jean), daughters Vina (Gary) Kerr, Marjorie (Ed) Stardom, Betty (Harry) Henkewich, Shirley Borsboom and Marlene (Wilf) Bach, along with one sister Anne Drescher, sister-in-law Lois Hadden and brother-in-law Earl (Rita) Ducharme. She was predeceased by her husband Simon, her infant sons Edward and Billy, son William Roy, son-in-law Howard Mooney, son-in-law Ed Borsboom, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Mom was born on October 20, 1914 to Christine and William Hadden. She married Simon on June 1, 1932 and was married 67 years until Dad's passing in 1999. Most important to Mom was her family, leaving a legacy of five generations for a total of 71 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was proud of her employment at Family Services of Winnipeg as Home Support Worker for 14 years until her retirement in 1979. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Park Manor Personal Care Home for their wonderful care and kindness provided to our mother during her stay there. They took very good care of Mom during her final days and provided care and compassion to our family during a very sad time. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. Viewing one half hour prior to service.
