Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (DON) DONOVAN ROY SIMPSON Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Don was promoted to glory suddenly on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in his home at the age of 85. Don was born in Brandon, MB where he served with the military in the Second World War, met his wife and started his family. Don spent his years as a teacher/principal which took his family to The Pas and then to Winnipeg. Don became a member of the Salvation Army at a young age, living out his faith in the church and as a bandmaster. He had a true love for politics and band music. Don leaves behind his wife Audrey, of 62 years, his children Kenneth, Donna (Ronald), Murray (Karen) and Debbie (Dieter). He also leaves behind his eight grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren. Don is now home celebrating with his heavenly Father. We love you very much and will miss you and all your stories! Cremation and internment has taken place. Celebration of life service will be held at The Salvation Army Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Road, Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 0S8 on Sunday November 20, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church at the above address.
